CAMX Embraces the Future of Composites!

Thank you to everyone who participated in CAMX 2019, making it a great success! Nearly 8000 attendees and more than 520 exhibitors gathered in Anaheim, CA, to experience the premier composites industry event in North America, showcasing new products and technologies that will impact a broad range of markets, including aerospace, automotive, architecture, 3-D printing, marine, transportation, recycling, wind energy, software, construction and infrastructure, sports and leisure, university research and more.

This year’s conference program offered the latest research, innovations and best practices, and the most extensive gathering of expert speakers in the industry. CAMX 2019 offered 48 different conference program sessions and 125 technical paper presentations covering an extensive range of topics.

CAMX Award Winners Announced!

The CAMX Awards, sponsored by INEOS Composites, were presented during the CAMX 2019 General Session. The awards recognize two cutting-edge innovations that will significantly impact composites and advance materials. The Combined Strength Award celebrates a product that incorporates composites materials solutions through teamwork and collaboration; the Unsurpassed Innovation Award celebrates a product-design that incorporates low-cost materials for high-volume applications with the ability to change the outlook of a particular market segment. CAMX General Session Spotlights Manufacturing 4.0

The General Session, which was sponsored by Owens Corning, featured keynoter Vicki Holt, CEO of Protolabs, who inspired and informed the CAMX audience with insights and lessons about business, manufacturing 4.0, workforce development and culture. Protolabs is disrupting the manufacturing industry with a creative business model that is digitizing traditional manufacturing processes and enabling their clients to design, test and produce parts quickly, getting to market faster with smaller runs of customized products. Every year, CAMX recognizes outstanding research that will impact the next generation of composites innovation. Technical Papers cover critical areas important to the composites and advanced materials industry – from business, applications, and research perspectives. Poster sessions showcase the work of the next generation of researchers, engineers and industry professionals to highlight the latest research at CAMX.
