CAMX 2026 Brings Industry Innovation and Market Opportunity Together in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA — [October 07, 2026] — The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) 2026 took place in Atlanta, Georgia from September 21–24, bringing together over 6,000 attendees and more than 500 exhibitors from across the globe for four days of innovation, collaboration, and industry-shaping conversations.

Co-produced by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), CAMX continues to serve as North America’s premier platform for accelerating the growth and adoption of composites and advanced materials worldwide. Bringing together the complementary strengths and communities of ACMA and SAMPE, CAMX connects the commercial, manufacturing, engineering, research, and academic expertise driving the composites and advanced materials industry forward.

This year’s event brought together leaders from across the composites and advanced materials community to address the opportunities, challenges, and technologies shaping the future of the industry. From evolving market demands and supply chain dynamics to advancements in manufacturing, sustainability, and emerging applications, CAMX provided a critical forum for industry professionals to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and explore what’s next.

“CAMX 2026 demonstrated the incredible momentum we’re seeing across the composites and advanced materials community,” said Cindy Squires, Esq., President & CEO of ACMA. “The innovation on display, the conversations happening across the industry, and the connections made throughout the week reinforce the critical role composites and advanced materials will play in solving some of today’s most complex challenges. CAMX is where our industry comes together to turn that potential into progress.”

Attendees kicked off CAMX 2026 with an inspiring General Session keynote from transformational business leader Kevin Gaskell, former Group CEO of BMW GB, Porsche GB, and Lamborghini GB. In his keynote, “Business Transformation – Inspiring and Delivering,” Gaskell shared real-world strategies for  driving transformation, building high-performance teams, and creating sustainable growth. His message challenged attendees to turn potential into performance, embrace ambitious goals, and build the mindset and teams needed to navigate change and deliver meaningful results.

CAMX 2026 introduced new opportunities for both industry-wide education and executive-level engagement. The new CAMX Innovation Stage brought Featured Sessions directly onto the show floor, giving attendees greater access to expert discussions on emerging technologies, market opportunities, and challenges shaping composites and advanced materials.

CAMX also hosted its inaugural CEO Forum, an invitation-only gathering of CEOs, C-suite executives, and senior business leaders designed to foster candid conversations around evolving market dynamics, workforce challenges, economic uncertainty, and accelerating innovation. Featuring insights from CAMX keynote speaker Kevin Gaskell and Dr. Brandon Pizzola, Principal at Ernst & Young LLP, the forum provided a dedicated setting for industry leaders to exchange ideas and strategic perspectives.

Alongside the expansive exhibit hall, the CAMX conference and education program delivered technical presentations, expert-led discussions, and research highlighting advances across composites and advanced materials. Technical papers and poster presentations brought forward new research and engineering insights, while the CAMX Awards recognized outstanding innovations, products, technologies, and research helping push the boundaries of what is possible across the industry.

“What makes CAMX so impactful is its ability to bring together every part of the composites and advanced materials community, from researchers and engineers to manufacturers, suppliers, and end-users,” said Dr. Allan Crasto, Interim CEO of SAMPE. “By connecting technical knowledge and research with manufacturing expertise and market opportunity, CAMX creates an environment where ideas can move toward application, partnerships can take shape, and our industry can collectively advance the future of materials and manufacturing.”

Save the date! CAMX 2027 will take place October 18–21, 2027, in Anaheim, California, bringing the composites and advanced materials community together once again for the industry’s premier event.

ABOUT SAMPE

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) is a global professional member society that provides enhanced educational opportunities by delivering information about new and advanced materials and processing technologies. SAMPE provides professional growth and educational opportunities through live and online conferences, exhibitions, technical forums, and publications. As the only technical society encompassing all fields of materials and processes, SAMPE provides a unique and valuable forum for scientists, engineers, and academics. SAMPE North America is a regional subsidiary of SAMPE serving Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

ABOUT ACMA

The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) represents the complete North American supply chain for the fiber reinforced polymer (“FRP”) composites industry. We are manufacturers, material and equipment suppliers, distributors, academia and end users, dedicated to growing the composites market. We serve our members and the industry by promoting the competitive advantage and versatility of composite materials. ACMA offers composites industry educational resources through our Education Hub, CAMX, conferences, webinars, and Certified Composites Technician (CCT®) program. We develop standards and specifications that drive preference for the use of composites in place of traditional materials. We lead advocacy efforts via legislative and regulatory channels to achieve a more viable composites industry. Together, we make composites the sustainable material of preference.
