This innovation is a proof of concept showing a part made with only 3 SmartHybrid™ fabric by Texonic that include and replace all the local reinforcements (about 15) that are usually positioned one after the other to manufacture the same part, allowing to save time, get better improved repeatability, simplify manufacturing and improve a wide array of performances.
The fabric is optimised to position the right materials at the right place in order to maximise impact and puncture performances, rigidity or flexibility where needed. The resulting canoe is lighter, stronger, while maintaining the manufacturing efficiency and reducing significantly the cost.
