Tour Bell Helicopter’s Composites Center
Exclusively available for CAMX 2018 Full Conference and Premium registrants, Bell Helicopter is offering exclusive tours of its two main composite manufacturing centers. Part one of the tour will include a walkthrough of the Rotors Center at Bell’s headquarters, where Bell builds the blades for all of its helicopters and tiltrotors. Part two of the tour will include a visit to Bell’s Advanced Composite Center, where components such as wing skins, yokes and grips for the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor are built. The tour will be on Thursday, October 18, from 2 PM to 6 PM, and will include travel to and from the facility. One of the CAMX 2018 exhibit hall highlights is the ability to watch practical demonstrations of key process techniques that will help you work smarter, faster and more efficiently. Demonstrations will feature advanced materials such as prepreg, carbon fiber and epoxy, along with processes such as light RTM and vacuum infusion, and cutting-edge technology such as 3D printing. They will also highlight some traditional products, including resin, reinforcements and processing materials. Processes to be showcased include reusable bag molding and a light RTM works cell, which will be making parts all day! The CAMX Exhibit Hall passes are FREE if you register before September 1.
