To meet these challenges, Hexcel & Techni-Modul Engineering (TME) have collaborated on a fully automated production cell capable of processing new generation composite materials combining performance & productivity. TME’s innovative technology for the automated production of complex dry preforms was adapted to process the latest generation of dry reinforcement materials manufactured by HEXCEL using a new injection technology (C-RTM). This enables a fully automated system to process primary structure materials without any operator intervention, meeting the challenge of improving cycle times while increasing quality, repeatability and accuracy.
