A Critical Market Sector: Downhole Composites in Oil and Gas

The U.S. has experienced an unprecedented onshore energy boom over the past decade that has brought the country nearly to energy-independence. Much of that boom has been the result of a technology called hydraulic fracturing, often termed “fracing,” the process of artificially fracturing or perforating low-permeability rock strata in the vicinity of the drilled borehole with explosives and injecting pressurized solutions containing sand into those fractures, to facilitate oil and natural gas extraction. CompositesWorld explores the role composites play in the process. More…

Make Hotel Reservations

Save money and also make it easy to meet up with other CAMX attendees by staying in one of the official CAMX hotels. CAMX has negotiated reduced rates with various hotels that are close to the Dallas Convention Center. In order to receive these reduced rates, you must book through the CAMX Housing Bureau, Conference Direct, which ensures personal service before, during, and after your stay. Plus, you can be confident that CAMX housing rates are the lowest available to the general public. CAMX provides shuttle bus service to the Convention Center from hotels that are not within walking distance.

HOUSING ALERT – Be aware that Conference Direct is the ONLY CAMX housing provider. Other companies may contact you indicating that they are affiliated with CAMX, ACMA, or SAMPE, and claim to offer hotels at “reduced rates.” These companies are not affiliated in any way with CAMX, and it’s strongly recommended that you DO NOTE use their services.
